About Me
I'm a history professor by day, a novelist by night. I write dark epic fantasy, gothic fiction, historical fiction, paranormal romance, horror, and weird fiction. In every book I write, there is a love story. When I'm writing, I read almost nothing in the genre in which I write, which means I am REALLY far behind in my fantasy TBR pile. I glut myself with my other book lists: mystery, crime, horror, weird fiction, historical fiction, legit Gothic novels, and regency romance.
As for my other passions: they include, in no particular order, horror cinema, gaming (video and tabletop), traveling (to castles, mostly), art collection (of the weird, gothic, Lovecraftian variety), and baking. I prefer cookies, croissants, and Old-World specialty cakes. I hate fondant. I hate everything about it.
I’m a Long Island native and 1st-generation child of Mediterranean parents with one husband, two children, and three rats. My pronouns are she/her and I believe in LTBTQ+ rights, a woman's right to choose, and that Black lives matter. Also, the climate emergency is real.
